Shadow Teaching
Some children learn at a different pace from their classmates and need individual support to do well at school. A shadow teacher gives them exactly that, right inside the classroom.

How we help
Our shadow teachers support children with specific learning challenges to reach their academic and extracurricular goals. They work towards the learning, behavioural, social and emotional goals set out in each child's intervention plan.
In class, the shadow teacher observes the child and helps with their physical, social and academic needs. They work one-on-one, simplifying, adapting and customising classroom activities to suit the child's skill level.
Our shadow teachers work in mainstream and inclusive classrooms as well as in classrooms set up specifically for children with special educational needs.
In short
- Concentrating and staying engaged in class
- Speaking up and taking part in lessons
- Interacting and socialising with classmates
- Behaving appropriately in the school setting
- Building independence, step by step
